Manage your account

Change your Name, Email, Password, etc

Profile icon

  • Once logged in (app.teamengine.co.uk), click the Profile icon in the top right hand corner of the page

  • Click 'Account'


Profile tab

Change your name here:

  • Edit your First and Last name here

  • Click 'Change name' to save it

  • This is (currently) the name which Engine uses as your name in your contract, so what you enter here should be your legal name



Email tab

Change your account email address here:

  • Enter the new email address

  • Enter it again ensuring it matches the first entry (to prevent typos)

  • Click 'Change email'

  • Check the inbox of that email address and follow the prompts to verify that new email address

Note: you can't swap to an email address which is already in use on an Engine account (whether a Personal account, or Project account).

If you have more than one Engine account, follow these instructions and contact Team Engine to prove you own the accounts you'd like to combine .


Access tab

Manage access to your or other Engine accounts here:

  • You can give access to your Engine account to other people (e.g. an Agent)​

  • Also shown here will be any Engine accounts to which you have been granted access (e.g. your colleague or friend)


Security tab

Change your password here:

  • Enter your new password twice, to confirm they match

  • Team Engine's password policy is:

    • Must contain a minimum of 8 characters

    • Must contain at least:

      • 1 capital letter

      • 1 number

      • 1 symbol (e.g. £ % & $)

    • You can re-use old passwords

    • There is no policy to rotate passwords (e.g. change it every 30 days. Current government advice regarding password renewal



Preferences tab

Change the colour and contrast of the pages in your Team Engine account:

  • (You can also access this tab by clicking Profile icon > Accessibility)


  • Click to choose your preferred Colour mode:

    • Light

    • Dark

    • System (obeys what you have your device mode set to)

  • Click to choose your preferred Contrast mode:

    • Standard

    • High (a more black on white (or white on black when in Dark mode) style which is often used by users who have visual difficulties)
